Mike Burns, is the founder of A&R Select. In 2004 he received a Grammy nomination as a songwriter and producer by the American Grammy Awards, in the category of "Best Electronic Album" for his contribution to Paul Oakenfold's "Creamfields" album. His works include over a decade of production experience in the music and film industry. He has also written, produced, and directed several films, documentaries and music videos. Clients that have contracted or licensed his works have included Maverick Records, ESPN, Sony Erickson, and E Networks. Mike wrote the music for TV shows including ESPN's "Jim Rome is Burning" which he wrote and produced the original theme song. A musician and producer at heart, he is just as passionate about helping other artists market and promote for their music in this new digital economy.

Mark Lewis has been a major force in the music industry for 20 years. Beginning as a DJ touring the Globe and opening for major artists like Elton John, 3 Doors Down, Paul Oakenfold and Wolf Mother, his natural talents are always in high demand. Mark is also a Grammy nominated producer for his contribution as a songwriter and producer on the Paul Oakenfold Album "Creamfields" which was nominated in the "Best electronic album" category. His production and re-mixing works include Chaka Khan, Alanis Morrisette, Sean Paul and Miami Sound Machine. Mark is one of the hardest working guys in the biz. As Head of Music, he oversees the A&R Submissions and listens to each and every artist before sending their music out there to make sure it is right on target. Mark has always been known to have a golden ear, and he is always looking for the next big hit. |

Songwriter, Producer, and composer, Joe Conte is responsible for new accounts, and artist relations for newcomers and existing members of A&R Select. Joe not only supervises new aritist accounts but he is also active in scouting out new talent and works closely with the A&R Department by reaching out to unsigned artists that are currently being saught after for potential music opportunities. Joe keeps the flow going between our artists and the A&R Select team.

Kristofer Todd Upjohn has been writing in one form or another for years. In the course of his career, he has interviewed Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Max Cavalera (Soulfly, ex-Sepultura), Silenoz (Dimmu Borgir), Satir (Satyricon), and members of Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, From Autumn to Ashes, All That Remains and more; DJs Victor Dinaire, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and others; actor Bruce Campbell and cult director Brett Piper; and a plethora of other interesting artists in a variety of media and genres. Andy brings years of industry experience to his position of Director of New Artists. A former staff writer for MUSIC CONNECTION and SONGTALK (newspaper for the National Academy of Songwriters) his interviews include KISS, Frank Zappa, Anthony Kiedis of the Chili Peppers, Tesla, and Winger . He's also a published author whose stage plays have been performed in New York, Chicago, and LA. As director of New artist Dept. Andy makes sure that we maintain quality control and is the last line of defense for recruitment. His signings to date have resulted in film placements and records deals. He also oversees our marketing material to the industry. |
